Mykel is a Salt Lake City born singer-songwriter with powerhouse vocals that have been compared to Jessie J, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, and Jojo. Her tenure in the industry began in high school touring with the nationally acclaimed Crescent Superband, ultimately jump-starting an insatiable passion for music that lead her to a move to Los Angeles. She’s since performed at iconic venues including Staples Center, Dodger Stadium, Delta Center, Peppermint Club, and Hotel Cafe.
Mykel has released songs that have been featured on Rolling Stone (India) and can be heard on Lifetime Movie Network, Bravo, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.
Mykel prides herself on her versatility - having worked on projects in genres spanning Dance, House, Funk, Soul, Pop, Indie, Country, R&B, and Hyperpop. Her collaborators include composer Brandon Jarrett, (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Nickelodeon, Disney, Stars, ION Channel). Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe nominated Allan Rich (cowriter of Run To You’ by Witney Houston and ‘For The First Time’ by Kenny Loggins) and more.
Whether it’s a song intended for personal release, or meant only for sync, her approach to creativity is always authentic. Her mission, in her own words is “To help everyone feel seen. To give myself and others a space to sit with, experience, and explore every emotion without judgement”.
